From mag. This is in a perfect place, no doubt helped by being in Magnum. There’s a soft alluring and subtle nose with lemon oil, hints of peach, a delicate stony minerality, and a touch of salinity. On the palate, this is complex long and still fresh, with a haunting edge. Great stuff.

Tasted side by side with the 2000. The DNA is there but vintage characteristics are on full display. This was full of power and freshness. Complexity versus structure. Underwent many changes during the night, rambunctious, flirty , mellow. Will eventually resemble its older sibling but it will take a long time before it demonstrates maturity.

I have never had a Krug that drinks so well on release, but they were exceptionally patient with this one. Vosne-Romanee like savory rich dark fruit and more Champagne refreshment than should fit in a 750!
