Sipping Fine Wine

Deep Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral notes and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with cacao, floral, espresso and cinnamon spice. Full-bodied, fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and an earthy character.

This wine has a medium-dark garnet color in the glass, through which one can see their fingers on the other side. The nose is complex and enjoyable, starting with black raspberry and followed by notes of black tea, licorice and an herbal hint of eucalyptus. The palate is bright and joyous, maybe even a little rambunctious for the grape in question. Red fruit shines while the light oakiness adds a savory dimension. It is brawnier than Burgundy, but with enough elegance to keep its muscle under wraps.

Your typical California Pinot. Plenty of fruit and a bit syrupy.

It’s a good wine, but I’ll take Oregon Pinots over Cali’s every single time.

Strong start medium body and a wonderful lingering finish. Tannins are present through to the end of the ride. Great sipping wine as is.
