Always love to get my hands on a wine from Corton-Charlemagne.
2009 vintage has a roasted almond flavor with baked pear and bruised apple. Nice acid but the finish drops of a little early. Still. A great representation of the region and variety. This is what I grew up on.

1 person found it helpfulDec 17th, 2014Aged for about 10 months in French oak barrels (100% new), medium toasted. Golden color with aromas of bright stone fruits with a nutty touch. On the palate, rich fruit flavors with round oak notes, great mouthfeel. Full, well balanced finish with vivid acidity, lingering, ending with mineral tones. Outstanding! Will continue to get better! Tasting Sample!

Apr 17th, 2017Say what you will about the need for oak for purposes of prolonged aging but, this is undrinkable for 10 years... And then who knows. I can imagine being great in my children's lifetime.
