Louis Latour
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay
WNH zoom virtual tasting - white burg night - first time - has ten years left but needs to be decanted now - intense citrus with butterly overtones - flinty - length was insanely long - took awhile for me to enjoy but enjoy I did after realized all the interesting complexities that were going on

Aug 18th, 2020Nose of lemon, cream, slight lime and lots of slightly bruised apples. Pretty good acidity and not too much oak, but apple and other notes fall a bit flat - almost coat the tongue (in a bad way). Tries to be great but comes up short. Perhaps just in a bad stage, but still a pretty good wine.

Oct 24th, 2021Very hefty at 14.5%. Bold flavors. Seemed a little out of balance after pop and pour but it finds it’s footing after 30 minutes and develops very nicely
