Lacking Hermitageness despite being absolutely pristine. Lacks lift to the midpalate but a wine of pleasure. Love it? No. Good example of producer, vintage, grape, region? Yes.

Corked

Earthy, a little gamey, smoky, animal/bacon fat, fruit is not quite as youthful as an identical bottle from a friend’s cellar tried last month, long, lingering finish, outstanding Hermitage, should continue to develop for another 5+ years!!

So, this is pretty incredible and super young, grapey Syrah, soft tannins, but this bottle suggests it will last 15-20 more years, easily!!
