May 21st, 2021Sadly for this spectacular Solaia, it followed an epic ‘06 Ornellaia. Primary and rich on the licorice nose, broad tannins framed dark blackberry extract, black earth and saddle leather. Notes of cocoa. Even after 2 hours this beast screamed for more bottle time, confident it will score 1-2 pts higher in 3-5 years.

Vintage 2004 / 15 y old #tuscan for me the first time I taste this. It is impressive because of it’s elegance and finesse. High acidity. Tobacco. At treat to taste this.
