Jul 29th, 2020The 2017 Bolgheri Il Bruciato is pliant, supple and luscious, but what stands out most is how much freshness Antinori was able to keep in this wine. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, new leather and floral notes all meld together in this sumptuous, racy red. This is such a pretty and expressive wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2020)

Oct 17th, 2021Loved the 2017 with pizza, alongside garlic grilled chicken and with a meaty ribeye. Yeah we probably stretched it, but if any bottle could be the equivalent of the giving tree, itโs the bruciato.

This was the winner of Friday night wine club by a mile; 5 1st place votes. I was fortunate to win with this and never had drank it before. The fruit on the tongue made the difference. This wine won for us because of the advice and help from Jeffrey Bell, sommelier and owner of Eleven Eleven wine shop in the Benson community of Omaha. Here is my point of recognizing Jeffery; if you are in a similar wine competition; seek out a recommendation from a professional like Jeffery.

Sep 26th, 2020At a non-BYOB restaurant in Houston so had to get a wine from their list. We tasted this wine at the winery in Tuscany last year so we decided to try it with the meal. Very extensive & expensive wine list...this was a low end option. Heard about this restaurant from Jesse Kelly (Houston talk radio) about a year ago and finally got to try it.
