What a surprise! I have been off. Chards but this one had a good rating so I took a chance. I love oaky Chards and this one delivered along with a Christ finish that I didn’t anticipate. This one is a winner.

Aged on lees for 6 months this pale lemon Chard from a cool climate has stone and tropical fruit aromas with cedar and slight biscuit notes. On the palate flavors of pear, melon and lemon juice with some vanilla and toasty oak. Medium+ finish, lively acidity ending with sweet vanilla citrus spice, not as good as ‘17. Tasting Sample!

Smells like shortbread cookies and baked pears. Fruit forward with a nice hint of soft oak.

Mar 15th, 2020Light golden hue. Aromas and flavors of apple, baking spice, butter, coconut, cream, grapefruit, honey, orange, passionfruit, toast, and vanilla. Medium-full body, and medium-high acidity. Lightly oaked. Lovely nose, with a clean finish of minerals and oak to complement the smooth mouthfeel and finish. Well-balanced and well-made.

Medium gold colored. Aromas of baked apples in butter, biscuit and hint of citrus. Lemon custard and apples. Too much butter for me.
