Fresh cherry, raspberry and red fruit, very young, from an Italian winery that’s been making Chianti since the 1700s. This particualr vintage was a basic, easy drinker that will be much better in 5 years. Scarlet red colour, light, dusty nose. Decanted for an hour before drinking.

Interesting bottle shape. Bright ruby color. Aromas of red raspberry, strawberry and sour cranberry fruit with slight touches of violets and menthol. More cooked berry fruit on the palate with hints of tobacco and pepper spice. Very earthy (but a bit short) finish. Vibrant acidity which is somewhat sharp. Thanks for opening this one, Chris B!

Jun 7th, 2024Bright ruby color. Aromas and flavors of blue and red berry fruit with a hint of violets. Same fruits on the palate though they are more cooked and jammy. Touch of baking spice on the finish. Medium bodied and a bit sharp. Thank You for sharing this bottle, Chris B!
