Almost great from Michele Chiarlo Cipressi Nizza Barbera d’ Asti/Alba...of one terroir...I can’t tell the difference even while being there...BUT the Italians can...w/Passion. 2016 vintage. From the land of Piedmont’s best of class...medium-full-bodied-dry-fruit-perfect balance- tannins-acidity-color-nose yada yada (that’s Italian)

I tried for a year to find the 2015. No luck. This is the 2016 and it's a glorious Barbera. Nizza DOCG. Smoky and slate on the nose. Full of flavor with a mouth coating burst on the palate. Just enough acidity to make this a great pairing wine. Tobacco, red fruits, cherry. Yummy goodness and great value from M Chiarlo
