Vintage 2016 / juicy cherries good concentration

Bold and fruit forward. I think too young.

Double Blind Wine Tasting. #3 of the day. Easy to guess. Big wine. Reddish purple color. Toned down modestly from most young Aussie Shiraz’s. Lots of sweetness and red fruit with big tannins and lots of alcohol.

Enjoyed this wine. Seems to have improved with a little extra age. I think this was Sparky’s last vintage.

It's concentrated, it's juicy, and it's overrated. I come back to this every 18 mos or so. Whopping alcohol level, ripeness, and ... not much else.

I do not like this wine

Eh. I always want this to be better than it is. Points lost for cost/quality ratio.

Not my picture. Really drank the 2016. Think it is still a bit young. It will settle down in a year or two.

Just okay for me. I’m not a Shiraz fan.

At Roy’s for our (maybe) last night of our 2+ months travel extravaganza enjoying another (our 3rd) bottle of The Boxer. Found at Kona Costco today for $25...what an amazing find....
