Strange wine, good in some ways, but awkward in others. For example has great peppery aromatics, but tastes like whiskey. Brett seems to be present, but comes and goes. Not sure what to make of it.

Another awesome Gabbro. The 2010 may lack the flirty power of recent vintages, but its amazing presicion, drive and elegance is to die for. Loaded with cassis, dried cherries and sage flavors on the everlasting finish.

This is what every Cabernet Sauvignon should taste like. Despite being from Italy instead of California, this Cabernet has the richness of a Corison or other top Cabernet Sauvignon, but for less money. Deep intense stewed fruit to start with plum and blackberry, rich earthiness, chocolate and tobacco, then perfect tannins to finish. And aged just the right amount now to smooth out the tannins. Buy some if you can find it. At $67.50, this Cabernet Sauvignon was an extraordinary value.
