Eneo Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2021

Perfect with pasta and veal chop from Porcini. One of the better Italian meals I’ve had. Dry and dark fruit and good finish. Definite food wine. Bourbon trip 2024. — 3 months ago

Montepeloso A Quo Toscana Red Blend

Paired very nicely with lamb sausage pasta, Veal Milanese, and a red sauce rigatoni. Little bite at the beginning but pairs nicely as it breathes. — 7 months ago

Azienda Agricola Baracchi

Ardito Toscana Sangiovese Blend

This looks incredible. However, can’t help comparing it to my last 20 year+ IGT Tuscan Blend post: 2002 Montepeloso Eneo, which was out of this world amazing. Anyhow, this is probably, “every bit as good as Giorgio…” Cheers! — a year ago

Gabbro Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

This is what every Cabernet Sauvignon should taste like. Despite being from Italy instead of California, this Cabernet has the richness of a Corison or other top Cabernet Sauvignon, but for less money. Deep intense stewed fruit to start with plum and blackberry, rich earthiness, chocolate and tobacco, then perfect tannins to finish. And aged just the right amount now to smooth out the tannins. Buy some if you can find it. At $67.50, this Cabernet Sauvignon was an extraordinary value. — 10 months ago

Nardo Toscana Montepulciano Blend 2012

Spicy, mineral lazed and dense with roasted herbs and great dark fruit flavors. Very clever oak treatment too. Holds a structure for the long haul. A great Tuscan wine! — 8 years ago
