2001 Vintage: a bit of barnyard on the nose at opening. Burned off after letting it breathe for 45 min to an hour. Did not decant. Not a lot of fruit on the nose, even after another 60-90 minutes. Can detect the Cab Franc on the nose and palate. Nice berry flavors, leather and a long finish. A bit high in alcohol (14%), but a nice example of Chilean wine meant for aging. A true Bordeaux blend. From the color probably has some Petit Verdot.
