Highland Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay

Thursday night and having a taste for a Chardonnay. I have chosen the 2012 Morgan Highland Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands from the Double L Vineyard which has been certified organic since 2002.

On the nose I am getting peach, passionfruit, guava, ripe lemon, honeysuckle and minerality.

On the palate there is tasty citrus fruit, lemon, peach, vanilla, creme brulee, dill, a light brush of oak and minerality.

This wine is medium bodied with a smooth mouth feel, medium + acidity and a medium to long clean crisp finish. The weekend is upon us and we are still searching for spring. Have a safe weekend and have fun. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

A great #Chardonnay and I'm impressed with this one from Santa Lucia Highlands. A nice touch at a board meeting.

This was the first wine they produced at Morgan in 1982.

Lemon, peach, vanilla. Reminds me of a really good lemon meringue pie. Good finish. Very pleasant, enjoyable wine.
