Among the most moving American Pinot Noir to be found...Santa Cruz with one foot in Bourgogne à la Paul Masson and the best of California by the able hands of the Pattersons. Rich yet restrained, bright but not without bass, and a spectrum spanning from spice to fruit, sous bois to citrus. A lively and lovely, remarkable wine.

Had at a pretty high end tasting with a lot of enthusiasts. Was really excited to taste this, waited in the long line listening to everyone's compliments/comments on the wine. Finally got to the front of the pack and got a pour from the nearly empty bottle that everyone was commenting on.. Annd it was #corked. 😳. .. Came back once another bottle was opened and glad I did, it was a night and day difference ... Question is though, were people just trying to be nice? Or did they really not know it was faulted?.. Just a thought..
