Corked. The wine is still punching through, surprisingly dark and still showing some primary character. But spoiled by that level of TCA that you want to be a figment of your imagination but that keeps cropping up, especially with more air. Had at a pretty high end tasting with a lot of enthusiasts. Was really excited to taste this, waited in the long line listening to everyone's compliments/comments on the wine. Finally got to the front of the pack and got a pour from the nearly empty bottle that everyone was commenting on.. Annd it was #corked. 😳. .. Came back once another bottle was opened and glad I did, it was a night and day difference ... Question is though, were people just trying to be nice? Or did they really not know it was faulted?..
