St. Henri Shiraz
South Australia, Australia

Slow-ox’d for about an hour prior. Infanticide still. Massive structure. Ample fruit. A bit of a klutz right now but that will rectify itself over time. Future is bright and higher scores are to come...after 2025 or so!

Very deep and complex with a lengthy tannin structure.
The fruit is super bright and fresh.
Hope to taste again in 10 years. :)

Hope everyone's keeping safe. First wine opened in this lockdown period and it's bloody baked. Sigh. Oxi and tired. Perils of buying wine in the tropics.

We had the 2012 Vintage on 2/14-15/25. An excellent Syray with tastes of blackberry, plum, mocha, leather and spice. As time went on the bouquet developed eucalyptus. Full bodied, New World. Fruit forward. I’m glad I gave it 13 years in the bottle.

Feb 15th, 2025In a good place at the moment. Decanted and drank over a couple of days. By the second day had developed some dark black fruit flavour like plum and blueberry. But still wrapped in classic Aussie Shiraz ummph.

Nov 3rd, 2017Smooth and soft tannins for a Shiraz with little to no hint of spice. Almost tasting like a Merlot blend instead.
