Ruby with bouquet of berry fruit and herb floral notes, aged for 10 months on French oak. On the palate strawberry and black cherry flavors with sweet spice, tea and earthy tones. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with earthy herbs, cedar, dried fruits and mineral tones.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is spicy with a bouquet of crushed woodland berries and flowery underbrush complicated by shaved cedar. It’s soothingly round and energetic, with cool-toned acidity and fresh red and blue fruits that swirl throughout. It leaves a subtle tinge of licorice and blackberry, only gently tannic, along with a hint of citrus that adds lovely depth. This is a perfect introduction to the Penner-Ash style. So smooth and approachable. Tannins and fruit are well balanced. Great nose. Great finish and lingering flavors. I really enjoy this wine, quite tasty.

2021 vintage. Well-made. Slightly plushy but verry pricey for just Willamette Valley juice. Would spend the extra ca$hi$h for single vineyard offerings from this producer this vintage. 5.1.24.
