The palate immediately hits you up front with complex notes of red and black cherry, vanilla, cedar, spice, and black licorice. Lean, but present tannins, medium body, and a silky mouthfeel. Really well balanced. The finish starts hot but mellows out into plum pit, cigar box, and butterscotch.
