Let me be clear. I feel very strongly about several things in life. Such as The Godfather is the greatest movie ever made. The designated hitter should be outlawed. And Cabernet franc is a blending grape. This is making me rethink my position. Medium- bodied, silky smooth, lots of olive and funk with cigar box and iron on the finish. Im not a convert yet. Yet. A WS Top 100.

Bright red fruit. Almost like it could be a Grenache grown in Chinon. Trade mark bell pepper and vegetal aromas intact.

Where the funk and rubber meet the road. Medium body. Super ripe tannins, good acidity, strong minerality, and bouquet of red fruits. Beautiful, complex cab franc.

Would love to taste test next to a FLX Cabernet Franc. Delicious. Very tannic, great buzz factor on the palate.

Is it me or is this overly oaked? Has good underlying flavors but seems out of balance. Can't see this aging as well as many other fine chinon's from Loire.
