Anniversary wine! On the nose: lovely brioche, cranberry, a touch of va lifting the red raspberry and lemon fruit. On the palate, fantastic acidity, good richness, lemon, cranberry, brioche, excellent density and mousse, soft white pepper, and a lovely finish. On another night this would have been fantastic, but the '80 Sorrel hermitage alongside was transcendent, and this paled by comparison.

Rich and oxidative, ripe pear/apple, sherry. Opens into a monster which seems to balance a crystalline edge, wonderful acidity and serious weight. Not my favorite vintage of this bottling but prob needs much more time.

I don’t like sparkling too much but this hits on all notes...crisp apple integrated full flavored champagne...lively bubbles goes too fast ....I was drinking by mouthfuls
