Pierre Péters
Cuvée de Réserve Brut Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay
Had this in late 2019, this is a new batch, a Fav! Rodolphe Péters took over the reins of this venerable estate in the southern Côte des Blancs in 2008, becoming the 4th generation to lead since the estate was founded in 1919, under the name Camille Péters. 100% Chardonnay, Crisp, fine mousse with steady flow of bubbles. Citrus, and biscuit aromas. Fresh fruit flavors of peach, apples and lemons, smooth and dry. Long mineral finish ending with elegance. Nice! Consistent quality!

Oct 11th, 2020Before i continue with the rest of the wines. I gotta tell y’all, i had one hell of a month after bottlerock and it’s not even summer yet. We celebrate birthdays, and we also had to celebrate a dear friend’s life. So with all the ups and downs I’ve witnessed i want you guys to know that these wines were enjoyed with, and in honor of some brilliant people.
Also, that special occasion that you were saving that wonderful bottle of wine might just come sooner than you think. We never know what day may come where we’re faced with our final moments, but you’ll always rest assured you drank that stunning bottle of La Tâche with the ones you love most... when you’re ready or what ever, just something to think about

A fitting finish to a day of tasting in Napa. Crisp, beautiful acidity and mesmerizing fruit. Hard not to love this one!

Citrus, herb and biscuit aromas. Fresh fruit flavors of peach, apples and lemons, smooth and dry. Lingering mineral finish ending with elegance. Nice!

1 person found it helpfulMay 30th, 2019This is a really nice NV champagne. Done in a solera style method with the oldest being a small bit of ‘88 vintage. It’s not quite as caramelized or oxidized as Krug, but there are definitely similarities. Where this is more bright fruit, it has the toffee and marzipan finish similar to Krug. There is more honeyed lemon here as opposed to honey comb. For the price, this is really nice. Thanks for sharing @Clare Gillette !
