This was terrific. Old school earthy maybe a tinge of brett to go along with the berries and rose petals. “Balanced” and “elegant.”

So light but fun tannins to balance. Very much alive for a 2010!

Beautiful wine. Hard to go wrong with 2010 , elegant, smooth and so balanced. The barbaresco we had had the acidity at the top of the mouth. This is more in the back with solid fruit and a hint of the tar and roses on the finish.

Needs considerable airing to reveal its full extent - better after the bottle was open overnight. Lovely aromas combine with mint leaf, truffle, chocolate - I will be buying more. ~$50 at lcbo

Cherry liqueur, crushed red roses, cigar box, dry tobacco, orange peel, smoked peppercorn, cedar, truffle, balsamic, forest floor. Perfect acid/gripping rough velvet tannin balance, silky texture, full bodied, incredibly long, complex, smoky/leather and earthy finish. Powerful, but yet to come out of its shell. Cellaring strongly recommended, decant if you can't wait.

Lighter red colour than expected with appealing undergrowth nose. Initially a lovely plum and red berry taste but aftertaste is rather drying and mouth clenching currently. Certainly needs food.

Had high expectations but this wine was missing a solid chunk of what should have been on the mid palate especially considering where it is in its drink window. I dont see it having much at this point that it can afford to lose. Day 2 was slight improvement but not enough to make me stoked esp after the 70$ at Bndvno. Day 3 with pizza getting better but still lean. Zalto stem better than Rdl burg stem.
