Sour cherry decent blend of earth, nice entry level willamette #pinot

Black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, eucalyptus, mossy earth, currant and oak. Good structure and well-integrated tannins.

$90 for $24 bottle at Marriott wine is okay very light nice fruit

Very subtle Pinot, another pleasant surprise from the Willamette Valley!

We drank it at The Pelican Club in New Orleans. It was good.

Bit more complex than the average Oregon Pinot but with the classic smooth Willamette finish

This was OK, but no more than that. It has cherry and black cherry fruit. But it's underpowered and overfresh. The acidity is not really strong but what's there is sharp, and the tannins are pretty weak. There's a hint of black pepper, and there's some earthy minerality. But it doesn't reach a level of complexity or balance that's interesting. It's OK with food, but not so satisfying in its own.

Spicy, earthy, grit, sweetish

Trying out Barry's recommendation from Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen in Kansas City. Very nice starter.
