This was excellent. Inky black, rich, and with some air very accessible. In some ways still youthful. It still has plenty of grip.

We had the 2008 Vintage on 9/5-6/17. Chewy tannins. This wine just needs more time. There are nice tastes of dark cherry, leather and earth. The color already had an orange hue. I would decant.

Still young but delicious. 2008 Produtori Montestefano. After ~ 50 minutes open, nose is still a little closed, but starting to get some nice earth, some mushroom and red cherry.. Good cherry and some earth on the palate. Another hour in, opened up: more fragrant nose, earth, a little bark, and more cherry. The palate has softened but is a touch tight still. After another 45 min, a bit of chocolate (more cocoa nib) and some tobacco come out on the palate. Overall the wine is singing.

I agree with the Bing cherry notes and for@me dark chocolate. Medium body good acidity. Soft tannins that are left.

Had this in CarneVino in Las Vegas. Great elegant Barbaresco with Smooth finish. Yum!
