This is soft-ish and rounder than I anticipated. Just lovely from the first pour. nothing angular or out of place. Lots of fruit still at 12 years old with some soft secondary notes emerging. Really wonderful.

Oct 31st, 2019In a beautiful spot right now. Superb nose, tannins resolved, wood not longer prominently present, still nice fruit and a long long finish. Everything is in balance and well integrated. Furthermore, still a long life ahead...

Jul 5th, 2019Intruiging, fascinating, had my eye on her all night...only an Italian is capable of doing this...such a beautiful wine. And according the critics one of the lesser Riservas of 2008. Still got the Ovello in the cellar and I'm looking forward to it!
