When compared to the ‘14, this comes across slightly brighter, and more structured. Black cherries and cream, licorice, sandalwood, and espresso leap from the glass. The palate is slightly less fruit forward than the nose, showing added notes of graphite, potpourri, dark chocolate shavings and tart currant. Silky tannins but still enough backbone for this to age nicely. In fact, while I’d pop ‘14s now, I’d hold these another 2-3yrs to get to how the ‘14s are drinking today.

Solid as always. Higher alcohol and wood than other bottles. Might need a decant as I PnP’d. Started off great with dark cherries and depth, but became astringent over time.

This is blend of all their vineyards in Columbia Valley. Black cherry, very slight herbal note, smoke, slight spice, good acidity. It’s still very young.

Very interesting wine. Easy to drink and easy to enjoy. The spice work very well with the cheese we had and make a great wine to keep drinking after we were finished

Counter to most advice, I popped this much too early. It’s grapey oak juice at this stage. Nothing enjoyable anywhere near this. I’ll give my remaining bottles at least 3 years.
