Houyi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

One of my favorite. What a wine from Pritchard Hill. Very impressed by its structure, acidity and texture. Big wine.

This is going to be so good. Spicy, powerful. Really excellent.

Closed down vs. previous vintages but still some great fruit. Would give it a few more years at least.

Really impressive. Inky dark in the glass. Blue and black fruit. Graphite, stone, spice. Ripe fruit with a solid structure. All held together very nicely in a powerful full body, yet the tannins are silky. Nice dense powerful mouthfeel with a nice long finish. Drinking well now but I think I’ll hold on to my other bottles of the ‘17 for at least a couple more years in bottle.

Very smooth and was perfect right out of the bottle. Spice and dark fruit.
