East Bench Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

Harder than other wines in the line up. Enormous structure and hard youth, roasting pig and bacon, hot chili pepper, some humming acid and quite assertive tannin. Although 20 plus years old, some of the youngest vines in Ridge’s portfolio and showing their ruggedness. Great, rustic, ballsy.

Expressive nose pf plums, white pepper, chocolate, eucalypt, liquorice. Well handled oak, polished tannins, good acid. Ridge never lets you down

Ridge is always a good call

Bold, a strong dark fruit nose. With a chocolate and an oak. But there is something tropical I can' recognize. It's like a mystery, which I love.

Dark fruit and underbrush. A little thin. Needs time.

Nice peppery Zinfandel. At a very reasonable price.

pungent fruit and licorice root on the opener....big heat, lotsa topspin, and a ringing sensation on the finish. Fun stuff.

Less oak. More finesse. Ridge needs to get back to this style. Hope.
