Screw top, drop top...I’ve had a few of these now and all have been pretty darned consistent. There’s Montmorency cherry and horse blanket (brett) on the nose. Cherries, milk chocolate on the palate. Rather short, drying finish. Works best with food. Pretty awesome QPR for a $15-$20 bottle though. Certainly interesting and undeniably Old World.

Nicely balanced blend. Tannins of plum, smoke, berries, cherries, with a slight metallic finish. Paired nicely with a cream sauce trout. Cute story behind the name of this wine.
