I feel like this Zin has been going downhill with each vintage. ‘12 & ‘13 were excellent. ‘14 & ‘15 were decent but a bit thin. Now this 2016 doesn’t even taste like the same juice. Could just be me. Getting a little better as it opens up though.

This is a big ripe zin that needs to breathe a while before it can be fully appreciated. The nose is expansive and the taste does linger. Did have a few rough edges but still pared well with hearty soups and red meats. Drank in January 2022

Yes, it’s jammy. But nothing’s wrong with jammy when you get sweet plum, oak and medium tannins. Nice deflection from the bold cabs I drink.
