Brut Cava Blend

Macabeo & Parellada grown on the Penedes estate. Pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits and biscuit notes, nice mousse and bubble flow. On the palate flavors of crisp apple and dried fruit, slight smoky notes and ending with generous burst of yeasty mineral tones.

Really lovely bottle for the bucks, and could stand it’s own among a more expensive bubbly. (Also love the magnum here.) Smells of sourdough yeast and baked apple. Plenty of lemon and brioche. Has a creamy feel too. Lots of beautiful bubbles. Ends with a nice dry finish.

This is tasty sparkling wine from Spain. Showing citrus, lemons, green apples, minerals, light yeast and white pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and small bubbles.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Not bitter nor tart. Very tasty with mild complexity. I really enjoyed the mouthfeel.

A blend of 50% Macabeo, 35% Parellada and 15% Xarello. Made in the traditional method.

A longtime guilty pleasure for me that shouldn’t be one. After another holiday season of sampling some really crappy and expensive sparklers, this under $10 Cava is a genuine tonic. Smoky and yeasty, with a gauzy, feather-light mousse.

Best Cava for the price. Fine bubbles, crisp and clean.
