Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Stellar Sangiovese drinking perfectly at peak. Rolling with 30 minutes of air. Dried red fruit, herbs, sarsaparilla, orange peel, saddle leather, tobacco leaf. Beautiful, smooth, and lengthy on the palate.
Just a bit boozy on the finish.

What is this? A touch stewed and no real structure. :-/

Decanted for a couple of hours and really enjoyed this

Starting to develop an alluring bouquet. Very balanced wine that can be enjoyed by itself

Delicate and poised, with a reticent nose. Grape and cassis fruit, prunes, deep tar, some floral notes. Really wish there was more there at the price point. Tastes past its peak, perhaps. It's bricking and if there was a whole lot of herbal character or perfume, it's very much faded now.

Aromas of preserved cherry, sprinkled with sandalwood, rose petal, and cedar. Racy cherry fruit flavors, with gobs of minerality woven together with assertive tannin and acid that lead to an everlong finish. Hell. Yes. Continues to evolve with more air.

Unreal find, can't wait to break this open
