A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby, slight purple edges, aromas of black and red fruits with some floral and herbaceous notes. On the palate flavors of this blackberry, currants and licorice with cacao, espresso, cedar and savory herbs. Long opulent finish, well balanced, full tight rich tannins ending with fruit, cedar and earthy character. Nice!

We paired this deer wine appropriately with venison carpaccio, however it was MUCH better with the crab floater for dessert. Will definitely drink this again!

There’s a cool floral element to this that reminds me of the 2013 Paul Hobbs Dr Crane. Haven’t had that in a long time. Cool how that works…. Other than that vanilla, blackberry, and red fruit. Really love the profile and balance of this wine. Still a baby so excited to see where this goes!

Wine Wednesday mixed with work travel. Who doesn’t love a cute little half bottle? This wine gives you rich, lush, full bodied Napa style. Wish this was older than 2019, but sometimes you get what you get and you don’t pitch a fit.

The 2019 One Point Five is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 3% Malbec, and 2% Petite Verdot.

Pairs best with anything after a day filled with questions and answers.

Shafer never disappoints. This bottle had a wonderful texture, along with with a nice, earthy bite, with hints of tobacco.
