Syrah on another logical level. A pure barnstormer. Never tasted a Syrah like this before! Very atypical for the varietal. Perfectly weighted, and so compact. Sandalwood interplay’s with dark chocolate, blueberries and cinnamon.
WNH NY 2021. I think
@Bill Bender coughed up the king’s ransom for this gem. Can’t thank you enuf, Bill!

99/100 just because 'shot in the dark' was so much better, I could not make this a perfect wine although it probably would be one without the 2006 served at the same evening....

My first 100 pointer of the year. Absurd. Pure Syrah fruit, laser focus and no funk.

2004 Poker Face Syrah, bought 3 and have one left. Drank one with friends and the mother of an old girlfriend accidently opened the other. I honestly do not think I have had a better bottle of wine. Tons of delicious flavors with amazing tannins, and a ling silky smooth finish like no other. Maybe adjectives could be used to describe this marvelous bottle of wine.

Fleshy nose, Dark currant and heavy spices. Medium body and sligthly in structure.

2004 Vintage. 15.5% Alcohol. Magnum shared with Stanley, Elena, and Chris at Top Winery in Paso Robles. Amazingly fresh, love mags. At peak now and just mind blowing. Loved the Top and Hood wines as well. Our thanks to Elena and Stanley for sharing a Crossed Fingers to compare and contrast. I didn’t get my request in before that sold out. Finished the mag with a great Mediterranean takeout dinner from Oasis in our room at the Seacrest hotel in Pismo Beach.
