Vintner's Collection Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon

Sterling Vineyards born in 1964 by Peter Newton, once a paper broker in England, purchased 70 acres of land in Calistoga and became a Napa Valley winemaker. Dark Red with berry fruit aromas, toasty and spice notes. On the palate, blackberry and plum flavors with smoky spice and black pepper notes. Drying tannins on medium finish, savory with a jolt of spice on the ending.

You know this ain't bad...dark, dried fruit. Supple tannins. Toasted pak with slight mint finish.

Sophisticated taste. Very good red. Expected it to be more expensive.

Big nose. Tart and acidic. Not my thing

Very dark in color, hardly any light penetrates 5 oz glass. Nose of plum, black pepper, a touch of oak. Tart at first, a hint of bitter espresso, very dry with lots of tannins.

Chris Ben Debbie and I liked this wine on Mother's Day weekend.

Lush dark berries. Pretty smooth.

Oaky, dry with fruit finish, undeveloped. Awesome value - $9 at Costco

Easy drinking wine

Lighter than expected for a Californian cabernet sauvignon. Fruity. Would buy it again.
