Sterling Vineyards
Vintner's Collection Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon
Central Coast, California, USA
Sterling Vineyards born in 1964 by Peter Newton, once a paper broker in England, purchased 70 acres of land in Calistoga and became a Napa Valley winemaker. Dark Red with berry fruit aromas, toasty and spice notes. On the palate, blackberry and plum flavors with smoky spice and black pepper notes. Drying tannins on medium finish, savory with a jolt of spice on the ending.

Mar 16th, 2018Very dark in color, hardly any light penetrates 5 oz glass. Nose of plum, black pepper, a touch of oak. Tart at first, a hint of bitter espresso, very dry with lots of tannins.
