Textbook Alexander Valley Cabernet that is not overdone. Driven by cedar, tobacco and herb along with dark berry fruit. Fairly soft with fine-grained tannins.

Black fruit dominated, a splash of petit Verdot gives it a slight violet aroma. French oak aging adds great baking spice nodes.

Gritty & dry with a nice balance of oak and dark fruit. Slightly overpriced, but absolutely upper middle tier in my mind.

Violet petals on the nose and palate. Pie crust at the back of the mouth with a not overly large finish. Deep dark color yet seems not so big when drinking it. Plenty of body, and as the glass opens brighter strawberry fruit appears. A very pleasant surprise and a delightful wine with lamb chops.
