Manero Rosso di Toscana Sangiovese Merlot

Easy sipping, baby super tuscan blend. (Sangiovese/merlot) Smooth black fruits w enough herbs/mild tannin spine to keep the package interesting, plus for few$. Agree w prev comments time in glass helps big time, but I didnt find tannic at all

Celebrating making it over Donner pass alive. The only red wine in the hotel lobby.

Blend of Sangiovese (80%) and Merlot (20%). Medium garnet color with a brick rim and slightly darker core. Faint aromas of red and black berry fruit, rose petals, tobacco and wet soil. Black and red sour cherry fruit flavors with additional notes of chocolate, black licorice minerals and fresh herbs. Medium finish with crisp acidity. Light bodied and rather delicate. I enjoyed it. Sangiovese smoothed out with a blend of Merlot. Easy drinking and distinctly Tuscan in overall mouth feel. Dry enough that I didn't rush through it.

My go to wine. Cheap and tasty

Easily drinkable. Tannic on the finish. Mild tart cherry.

Decent enough easy every day drinker. Needs to open up for a while.
