Really interesting wine that is both rustic and elegant at the same time! Bright red berry fruit aromas with notes of spices, violets, bay leaves and dried thyme. Rich and bold black cherry fruit flavors with notes of tobacco, beef jerky and tar. Peppery finish. Nice ruby color and medium bodied. Aging beautifully! Revisited in November 2022. Still excellent. Well received by friends.

Deep plum and blueberry. Black tea. Loads of tart acidity that cut through the still intense but very fine tannins that have receded to just dominating the finish. Fairly long. Enjoyable.
