100% carignan and 100% delicious. 82 year old vines on south-facing slope of black slate. Aged on large German foudre. Black cherry, cassis, dried herbs and wet rocks.

As good, if not more complex than I recall from the last bottle. A clear and persistent nose, bright and intense, yet at the same time supple. On the palate their tension and clarity, red sappy fruits, full grain tannins, ample acidity, and good length. Cherry, cassis, licorice, minerality, and earth are the prevailing flavors at this time. #carignan #priorat
