Perlato del Bosco Sangiovese

Deep garnet red with a hint of ruby on the core. Lovely nose with a new world styled Italian Sangiovese coated with tangy spices, red berries, earthy and flowers. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Nice and dry on the palate with roses, dried cherries, leather, earthiness and some floral spices. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028. Nice Sangiovese that doesn't taste manipulated. Decanted and enjoyed over 3 days. SS

2013! Delicious! Deep Ruby, fresh cherry, soft tannin, clean, high acid.

Deep ruby color with med. intensity aromas of stewed red fruit raspberries, plums, strawberries with touch of leather. Med + acidity, med tannins, Med + intensity flavor with primary flavors of stewed strawberries and cranberries, exotic spices / cinnamon, blackberries, leather.

Deep ruby in color. Medium+ aromatic intensity. Blackberry, red cherry, cooked raspberry, licorice, some leather. Medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins. Balanced, long finish. Very good to excellent wine, with potential for further aging.

Very good. Blueberry, currants, a touch of cocoa and licorice. Got a great deal on this around $20 per bottle. Wish I grabbed more.

Decent, a little dry

Soft and simple.

Thought it would be better with black cherries listed on the label.

Very good. Enhanced with great Italian food and cheese. Will buy again.
