Got renovation issues, @Mo Salem to the rescue! 2nd staircase will not go quietly.
This wine is stellar. It was great from the first moment till the last. Sangiovese at its best. Full bodied, earthy and mineral-driven. Tannins are relaxed, while the fruit profile displays the typical raspberry and herb notes. So much value here...

The pepper is real. The most rustic character I've had in the 08s. A standout.

Nose comes across plums and coffee and tobacco. Palette departs, dark fruits particularly truffle. Tannins are still poking out, but are well behaved. Started tart, but with 2hrs of breathing, became softer and more approachable. One to step aside from for another 2 - 5 years.

Strong but drinkable & approachable young Brunello. Lovely black fruits and spice with a meaty backbone and soft tannin

Ucceliera at its best. We ha a scary runs with some years, but 2008 really carries the weight and the promise of the region.
