Riserva Madonna del Piano Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Reductive and ripe.

Ten years old and still a babe. It's still a beast. Huge and powerful.

Gave this about two hours in the decanter. I was surprised at how accessible it was. Tannins were soft. Drinking very well now.

This is just starting to hit its drinking window.. tannins are still prominent and grippy, but the red fruit (cherries, raspberries) are predominantly evident with a typical Sangiovese Forrest floor/herbal background!! Beautiful wine!! 🍷🍷

Valdicava is my absolute favorite. This just goes to another level. Elegance and structure from the heart of Tuscany. Nose of black fruit and sun Burnt olive. Mouthfeel is extraordinary. Sangiovese is singing under the Tuscan sun. Deep black fruit and currant, with those burnt olive notes and pencil shavings. Medium plus acidity in this 16 year old behemoth. Can go for another 20. Lingering finish leads to an epic experience.

Beautiful Tuscan wine. It is fruit forward and lush. It is still big and young at 16 years old.

Beast of a wine at 14 years. After two hours it really opened up. Dark cherry , tobacco some licorice. Long finish. Excellent
