Vietti
Brunate Barolo Nebbiolo
Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy
Better than the first time coravin now that the cork is popped. Bright cherry with a lot of earthy overtones and solid tannin.

Such high hopes based on prior tastings of Vietti but this disappointed. Maybe needs food and more air time. Try again soon

This Barolo is very very good but she has potential to be great. The tannins are just starting to lay down and nuances are emerging. Beautiful nose of black cherry charred wood yields to flavors of plum and tar. The finish is long but the tannins still are blocking tastes from emerging. Can't wait to taste this in a couple more years
