It’s an easy drinking vintage while still retaining classic Vietti hallmarks of minerality and soil. Fruit forward of purple plum and black cherry chased with minerals, some vanilla oak, medium tannin and good acidity that still breaks through to make it refreshing. Great for pizza and meat plates. A definite recommendation — 25 days ago

Quite intense and deep colour , ruby centre and quite thin garnet rim . Quite dense and meaty on the nose , darker fruits , liquorice , grafite , crushed rocks and tar . On the palate this is quite strict , with fresh acidity and quite dry , gritty tannins . Black tea , saline liquorice hints , dried herbs , quite serious and classic . This needs time in the glass , or better still 5 years or so , and will last well a further 10 or so — 13 days ago
