Vincent Dauvissat
Les Preuses Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay

Decanted for 3 hours. Canary gold color. Bright and fresh. Fruit forward nose. Notes of lemon curd, white peach, sea shells, wet river stone and tan spice. Very luscious in the mouth. More fruit than acidity. This went quickly as the team tonight was thirsty.

Light to medium gold, heavy and viscous in the glass. Sweet, saline nose. Notes of lemon and citrus fruit, sea shells, tan spice, gravel and a hint of honey. Silky in the mouth. Less acidity than I would expect but it’s there in the background. In a good drinking zone but a bit lacking in emotion.

Not the best bottle of this I’ve had but excellent. No advancement issues either, nor with previous bottles. Saline, focused with some richness emerging from the bottle age. Lovely.

Last bottle off this list (been fortunate to drink at least four of them)! Amazing spot right now.

Solid, but not totally clean. A bit of Chablis, a bit of 04 chalkiness and a bit of pre-mox.
