Cru Series The Essentials Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

It’s fine but not a standout

Tasted at one of our fave restaurants. Solid showing by the glass.

A lovely nose dominated by tobacco and morello cherries. Palette is very consistent with the nose, but the extraction is not overly done. Good length and structure. Tannins are, for the most part, already resolved.

Should not have sequenced this after Papillion, but it's still very good.

1hr+ decant. Dark red color. Nose contains oak, dark cherries, anise, and a touch of vanilla. More dark cherries on the palate with some cinnamon and distinct V29 flavor. Medium depth and finish. Overall very nice!

Turned port like on the nose and taste after the first few tastes. Not my favorite tasting experience. I’m usually a fan.

Talk about QPR... This is delicious/serious/fun juice!!!
