This looks incredibly youthful. The nose is quite pungent with lemon pith and gasoline and a note that reminds me of being a kid and rummaging through my grandmother’s attic. The palate is better than the nose, with slate-tinged lemon oil fruit. Seems surprisingly dry for a Spat. Great acids on the lemon drop finish. A treat!

BD dinner 6/9/20 Bao family mixed Asian take out. Pale straw golden color even at this age library releases JR wine. Nice straw hay petrol nose with that notes from these library releases. Lively and not too complex but balanced palate and texture. Great with the food.

Nov 25th, 2018CVed 11/8/17 JL HAUBS-Barzen Erben comp. Different label than '98 ave nose is fine with petrol ave white flowers and earth. Color medium golden. Medium body and palate that showed acidic balance and medium finish. This best of the bunch I think.
