We like cheap red wine.

2012 vintage. Expressive nose. Still medium body. A big spearmint/eucalyptus/blue fruit note trill directly in the center of the tasting proceedings. Plenty of spice as well, yet, above all, a sense of harmony. One of the better post-1994 WS pinots that I've had. 3-4 years more in the current state before things slide/morph/dwindle. 5.13.23.

So many layers of not just fruit, but also floral, spice, and mineral characteristics evident at this age in a beguilingly transparent manner. The oak and tannins are well-integrated and the finish lingers in a way that somehow feels like dancing on the tongue.
